New Year Resolutions

My New Year resolutions for this year are:
  • to get a 'distinction' in my music theory exam
  • to reduce my weight by six kg by June holidays
  • to run faster in P.E. lessons
  • to get rid of all of my (chicken) poxies and pimples

I have been learning music for about two years and I have to go for exams to test my skills.I got a 'distinction' last year, so I think I should keep up the good work.; I am some kind of overweight and I need to slim down a bit. I hope to slim down by the June holidays and be out of the TAF list.; I actually run quite slow in the training for running one thousand and sixty m run around the school carpark. I would like to run faster so that I can keep up with the rest.;I had came up with the chicken pox and lots of pimples were emerging as well! I wish I can get rid of them as quickly as possible.

Looks like I have to work very hard to make these resolutions happen...

Hi WY, this is GuGu.
I have a secret formula to help you with 2 of your resolutions.

There in my flat in block 120, lies a new and unused bicycle, imported from Switzerland. It was not easy or cheap to do that transporting.

Therefore it will be useful, if you can take it and ride it everyday for 30mins or 1 hour.

This will require a lot of energy and will power from you. Your mama and papa should also support you in this task.

You will surely lose some weight, and therefore you can run "faster" and take away some kg from your weight.

Is this a good solution?

Downstairs, you can cycle under the HDB block and not on the roads. It is quite safe. Maybe papa or mama can also run along, and keep fit a bit. It will only take 30mins, per evening.

Try it out!
Set your target to be 1 evening per week, then 2 evenings, then 3 evenings. Before you know it, it will be easy for you to cycle and keep fit. Better than spending time on computer games.
