Korea Trip (Part 4)

We left YongPeong Resort in the morning after breakfast. We headed to Seoul. On the way, we stopped at a quite deserted place along the road where many branded goods are sold, such as Nike, Adidas and many more, Yeoju premium outlets.

The tour guide and the bus driver got coffee and took a break. (The bus too!)

After that, we continued our journey to Seoul. It was like any bustling city. Cars and buses filled the streets. The tour guide said that during the Korean War, the Americans were the ones that helped SK fight against the communists, NK. There is still an American base in Seoul. Some soldiers drink after the day. They go round the streets making a nuisance. That's why Koreans in Seoul are afraid to go out after 2230. She warned us not to stay on the streets after 2230.

We stopped over for lunch at another restaurant. It was again, pork, on a grill. The grill often became charred after some time. Hence, the guide often helped us change grills.

After that, Dongdaemun market was waiting for us. The crowded streets of Dongdaemun were the sign of shops. And shops mean shopping, but mainly clothes. boring......

We learnt that Dongdaemun was the main shopping district in Seoul. It was the trade center in the past too.

The Cheonggyecheon river flowed through the center of of Dongdaemun market. Its water is crystal clear and people come to catch a glimpse of it.

We reasambled again after a walk round Dongdaemun. We set of to the wonderland, Lotte World. On the way, we crossed the famed Han river on one of its 35 bridges. It was the trade waters for Seoul in the ancient times. Houses round this area are way much more expensive than others because of their location along a historical place.

Lotte world was a place full of lights and wonder. There were rides, stalls and even a huge ice rink!

We watched a show in one of the theatres. It was a water-and-fire play, where water was spitting out somewhere while fire sizzled and crackled in the dark room.

Next was a monorail ride all round Lotte World. Sights were spectacular.

We went on a flume ride. The raft bumped all over the place in the rough waters. We were twirling round and round as it span and twisted at every bend. In the end, we were quite biffed up!

After that, we went on a carousel. We all took ponies and the carousel went round and round. After the ride, I was so eager to get off that I accidentally fell off!

Next was candy shop where we bought some chocolates and gummies. Then was ball fight. We shot foam balls at people below while Mum and Dad were picking balls up!
Now, all the tickets we had were used up already. We had some fun at the arcade.

We left for the hotel after that. It was another Korean traditional.

Next was a short trip over to next door's FamilyMart. And then was quick dinner.
After all those was ......you know what.

Korea trip (Part 3)

Today, we spent the whole day at YongPeong Resort. We went skiing the whole morning. The tour guide took us to the ski equipment rental. We got our boots, skis and ski sticks. We then set off for the slope.

There, a ski guide taught us basic techniques such as how to stand, how to brake, how to move and even taught us how to fall properly. Then, it was up to us to ski. I fell down quite a few times, but after a while, I started to get the hang of it.

At lunch time, we went for some snacks and went to the top of Dragon Peak. We took a cable car called the gondola. We sat with 4 other skiers. As we went up, we sighted many other skiers and boarders. In the distance, we saw many hills and wind farms.
When we reached the 1450m above sea level peak, it was already stopped snowing. The whole area was covered in snow. We had a wonderful time having some snowball fights.
As we went down Dragon Peak, we ate a bag of chips.
Bought some churros as a snack and went back to hotel to get ready for dinner. Dinner was 自由餐. After all that, it was as usual. Shower, Change, CNN and ZZZ...ZZZ...
